I'm tryin to access my /library/themes folder which worked fine before.. I put homescreen in the folder so I know it worked but now it just disappears after I click it. I'm using netatalk/finder to access my iphone

I don't quite understand.

You're using a graphical SSH program, and when you open a folder it disappears? Perhaps because you're in the folder? 🙄
