Possible Solutions...

A room full of Bugspray
A powerful vacuum cleaner
A bigger scarier spider?
:p

i had 2 little bugs in my PB once. they were just these little red dots that walked over from time to time. thing is my house is dangerously clean so god knows how they were surviving

i gave them names

then i had to kill them

BAIT IT

Tie some string around a bigger predator and let it loose inside the PB, when you hear some crunchy noises you the little blighter has been eaten, pull on the string and pull out your hunting creature.

easy, (whilst maintaining natures equilibrium of the food chain & not destroying Karma)

I'm feeling quite sorry for the little guy (and he does sound little)

He's probably already crawled out unless you've had all the vents under surveillance all the time. Leave him to it - you might do more damage trying to take things apart or blowing him into oblivion that he'll do inside.

Honestly, without dsharits's explanation of the joke, I would never had understood it. I read and reread the joke over and over and nothing clicked.

Unlike pianodude123, if you wish you laugh at my negligence to the humor, then feel free to. I swear I'll catch it next time.

I had to read the joke a few times too, maybe thats why when it clicked, I just thought it was hilarious - kind of subtle humor.
