You're begging for an easy method. It's provided, but you disabled it. You want to find something wrong. Yes, you can.

Or there are just a lot of areas that could be improved upon that rather than acknowledging you suggest I am fabricating for the sake of wining? That makes a lot of sense

Since the introduction of "Shake to undo" (4 iPhone generations ago), I have never accidentally triggered it. Your iPhone needs a pretty good shake to trigger it.

I can't find the setting for the Shake option. I don't want to turn it OFF (since I only just found it :D ) but I'd like to know where the setting is.

You have to jailbreak to disable it. It's called ShakeToUndoKiller.

if you tap on it fast.. 3 or 4 click i think. it will select all text (not just that word with the double tap) . then just hit the backspace.

*edit its four, real fast.

how did your last phone do it?

From what I can tell, this doesn't select all the text but rather the entire current paragraph. So between carriage returns. Still useful though.

TH55 wore out his welcome on another forum by whining incessantly about every little detail of iOS 5. Nothing was ever good enough or easy enough for him. He would start several threads a day, each dealing with a different facet of his incompetence. Every detail of iOS 5 was apparently far beyond his ability to cope with. Now he's come here to drive everyone crazy. Good luck.
