So now that I've learnt that my hard drive has failed. I have purchased a 1TB Samsung SSD. Also have purchased a WD ice pack for size conversion.

My question is that when I install it, will my fans go onto full drive?

I've looked up threads on here for people using software but I prefer a hardware fix. People are saying they use the thermal sensor wiring and bridge it or add a new sensor the the new drive but I can't see any wiring for it?

When I removed my 1tb hard drive there were two connectors. One for power and one for data, no thermal sensor wiring? Does that mean my iMac does not have this feature? And looking at my old hard drive it has no signs of any sensor or connection.

Sorry I don't know how to upload pics otherwise I would send pics of all I have found. I have no Mac now and am working from my phone.

Would really appreciate the help guys xxx
