Odd...I just tried it on my Watch and its still working. This is app side? If so, can I keep it working simply by not updating the app, @Marconelly ?

Just to make it clear - they didn't do anything to my app, Thermo Watch.
They killed their own app on the apple watch.
If you update the Nest app on your phone right now, you will lose the Nest watch app, so you probably can keep using it if you don't update their app - unless they shut it down on the server side also.

Got it. I was thinking they killed the API. Glad to know yours is still running. I never use theirs.

No, they are not actually going to be killing the API. They will however make it so that no new users can start using the API after the August 31. Existing users will be able to use it normally though.

Well, it looks like Google just killed their own Apple Watch Nest app. I just checked my watch, and sure enough it's gone after the today's Nest app update.

They killed the Android Watch Nest app as well today.

Bit off topic.
Does your App support setting the hot water temperature, I use this often to save energy/doing it for the environment, there's no need to heat the water to lets say 60 C if I take a shower.
Also, do I get the apps for iOS/watchOs if I buy the Mac App?
Information is fairly limited on your App, is there a place where I can read more on this, is there a video?

Cheers

Unfortunately, Nest never made it possible for 3rd party apps to control the hot water feature.
If you buy the iOS/watch version of the send me a PM here, and I’ll send you a code for the Mac version. Apple doesn’t have a setup yet for shared app purchases.
If you go to https://thermowatch.net you can read a bit more about the app - in particular how the Siri functionality works.

Important update for the future users of the app: I have just released 12.2 version of the iOS app that allows users who are on a regular Nest account to log in. Users who have just created the Google Nest account or have migrated the Nest account to Google, will have to wait a bit longer. I'm working on a Google account support now.

All in all, I think this is now officially the only app available that allows you to control Nest with Apple Watch and Siri (without the extra hardware), although for the time being the requirement is that you do not migrate your Nest account to Google.

I also want to point out that the app has another major new feature, and that is the support for the HomeKit thermostats such as Ecobee and others. It will allow you to monitor the HomeKit thermostat temperatures on the watch complications, and control them via iOS widget, something that I don't think was possible until now.

Sadly Nest does not support Homekit.

Side note, I love your App....and your terrific support, keep it up mate.

I discovered this thread and after browsing, bought the app. I almost never change my thermostat, but the app looks beautiful and the interaction here is very nice. Cheers.

I’ve just bought this app, I can’t get the Apple Watch complication to update at all, any suggestions please ?
