EDIT: Actually temp keeps popping from 6.7 degrees (44 degrees F, below) celsius to around 47 celsius. Must be a bug in tools...

On what computer? Temperature sensors are not standardized on Macs and are completely undocumented. Anyone making a temperature sensor app has to reverse engineer the sensors. If this is a new model Mac then they probably haven’t done the work yet.

Yep that the issue. Sorry in my edit I deleted the computer, it's a new M2 Pro Max MacBook Pro. Thanks for the answer!

Fans in a 16" M1 Pro/Max MBP for example are usually off until the SoC is close to its rated operating temperatures where it would throttle. M2 Pro/Max likely the same.

Hmm. I never saw this on an M1 MacBook Pro, it always reported a temp in the reasonable range for each of the CPUs and GPUs.
