Does anyone know of a thin case like Peel or Totalee that does not have a lip protecting the screen? I'm looking for one that is completely flush with the top of the phone. I find it pretty annoying when you're swiping from the edges. Thank you!

Not that I know of. I would imagine at least a small lip is necessary for the case to be able to hold the phone, it would just slip off with minimal effort otherwise.

I own the Moshi Superskin case for my iPhone 11. It is super thin and super light (6-7g), almost no lip, just maybe a mm. I hate cases and also like you want a razor thin case with no lip, as I only need it to protect the back glass from scratches from time to time. Most of the time I use my phone caseless.

If you want a lightweight thin case you have to buy that. But first of all, quality is only ok and bad for what you pay for, it is a transparent half hard, half tpu case. Feels like a flexible hard case. But it is like milky transparent, not 100% transparent. When you first hold it in your hands, you think it feels cheap and breaks easily. BUT after all I have it for a year now and it is still like on day one. No yellowish tint, no breaking. But you have to be careful when you put it on or off. Still easy to take off and didn't widen much as it is somehow a little like a hardcase but flexible. As said it does look a little cheap when looking at it closely but it has done the one year job perfectly. Fits good and is really razor thin and lightweight. Still, don't expect a high quality looking case.

After all, esp the high price, still gonna buy it for my 12 mini when they will sell it. Unfortunately not yet in their portfolio when you look at their site.

Also bought the expensive thin Totallee case once for the iPhone 11 but this was a joke for the price. It just was a normal thin transparent case I could get anywhere for 1/3 of the price. Nothing special. This moshi case is special as there is no thiner (and lighter) case out there.

I’ve been trying to find the same thing. I had a totallee soft TPU case on my iPhone X that had no screen lip, but their 12 cases all do. I will say that their hard cases have a more tolerable lip compared to the soft.

From what I’ve read and actually tried, I haven’t found any case so far that has no lip at all. It’s very frustrating and I’m half tempted to just go caseless for the first time.

Yep, I don’t think they exist. But I recently found a new solution — iPhone skins/wraps. In my quest to find the thinnest case possible, I’m surprised I never considered them. Now the back and sides of my phone are (slightly) protected and there’s obviously zero lip. It was a very easy instal too. I grabbed a carbon one on Amazon. Very happy with it so far.

That makes sense. I briefly looked at skins, but I really want something clear that shows through the color and design of the phone, but skins seem more intended to change the appearance of the phone rather than to add any protection beyond mild scratches.

I’m generally careful with my devices, but accidents do happen. The only reason I want the case is to protect the speaker/mic holes from excess dirt and dust, and to protect sides, back, and the camera lenses/bump from scratches and dents. There just doesn’t seem to be anything for the 12 series phones that fills that need.

Yes, but they don't produce the Superskin case anymore unfortunately. It was expensive and overpriced but felt like a second skin, a 7g case, featherlight and razor thin. Sadly.

And sorry but I don't know why so many are into the Totallee case. Again. This case is a joke for 30€/$. Some people said it correctly, a 3$ case at most from alienexpress put into a nice packaging. Almost all ultraslim 5$ cases from amazon and eBay are exactly the same. 30$ is not only a joke but a rip-off and almost deceit because they write something that the case isn't. Ultrathin and ultralight. The Superskin was ultra thin and ultra light with 0,3mm at most and 7g light. The Pitaka is. But this ridiculous overpriced totally case isn't. And if some call it ultra thin and light than almost all cases are. But to each his own. I can only say again: instead of buying one totally case you can buy 5-8 ultraslim transparent eBay cases.

I had a similar problem in reverse. The case that I had for my Mini had a slight lip on the rear. This was ok for general use but held the Apple wallet slightly proud and so the Magnet was very weak and didn't really align properly.

Aha! I thought, I've got a couple of new cases coming as Christmas presents, I'll take a craft knife to my existing case and carefully cut the lip off so the case sits flush. I did a pretty good job but it still wasn't satisfactory. The non MagSafe case that I had has a very slippery back and although the Wallet did line up ok there was no real adhesion and it slipped off with the slightest touch.
The ideal answer is probably an Apple MagSafe case + Wallet but I can't really justify the cost for what is, for me, an occasional convenience.
