Bought one of the third gen 12.9's in February. It has developed a very thin black line that runs across the screen about a third of the way up, in portrait mode. It comes and goes. I can live with the line, but I'm wondering if this is a sign of screen problems to come. Anyone else had this line appear and will it get worse?

Any pics of this issue? Regardless, I’d still take it in and have Apple look at it.

It won't screenshot. Guess that means a hardware issue? The other 'problem' is that I bought it from Amazon, not directly from Apple. Will I have to go through Amazon to get it looked at?

Take a photo of it physically, issues are easier explained with a good photo..

Regardless where you bought it, the product should be covered under manufacturer warranty which means you should go to Apple..

Take a pic of it with your phone. You shouldn’t have any issues taking it directly to Apple. I no longer buy Apple products from any other vendor but I once took in a MacBook that I bought Worst Buy... I mean Best Buy. Apple had no issues looking at it.
