I was at my old high school today trying to get some videos I made onto my MBP. When I booted up the computer this thin yellow line about 1 maybe 2 pixels in length appeared from the top of my screen all the way to the bottem. I restarted the computer and it won't go away. Right now I am running a stuck pixel video but it hasn't gone away yet.

Am I screwed and do I need a warrenty repair? I bought this back in June so I am well within my complimentary year to get this fixed. I leave for college in like 4 days so should I want until I get onto campus to get this fixed or give Apple a call now?

I have the same problem on my PowerBook G4, but it is blue, meaning that the blue pixels are stuck. Yours sounds like the Green and Red are Stuck on. Get AppleCare to take care of it, since it is an electrical, not software, problem and cannot be fixed.

That's what I needed to know.

Do they just replace the screen? Do I have to back up and save my settings or do they send my machine back?
