I agree with all the points except #3. Just because in the States the 3G coverage sucks, doesn't mean it sucks everywhere else. In fact, the UMTS/HSDPA coverage is more widespread in Europe/Asia because the carriers SKIPPED EDGE and go straight to UMTS and now HSDPA. It is only natural to see people from that area complaining about 3G...
LOL! Yeah, and it's usually from the people who can't demean you enough if you dare mention ever having used any phone's camera.

I wouldn't knock haptics and tactile feedback too much. It's been overhyped, and underdeveloped, but by all accounts, SIGGRAPH should be showing us some advancements soon enough.

Agreed. Although I would prefer a better camera, I can definitely live with the existing one considering all that the phone has to offer.

The "flash on the iPhone" discussion made me wanna rip my face off for a while there. Seems to have perished after the release of the 3G.
I think the most annoying thing to see here (and I know it makes sense, but still) is "if you woulda searched you woulda found 100 threads answering your question". Makes me wanna punch stuff.

In all honesty.. I am tired of hearing.. iPhone. Great phone and I love it!!

Sound like a bunch of little girls. I'm scared of some big dude pulling a gun on me. I buy Applecare so I don't have worry about the computer.

LOL - some people can be truly **** about their devices.
I had a customer once who bought a 50" LCD rear projection TV off me and complained that the picture was not right. I went out to his house, couldn't see anything wrong and asked him to show me what he was worried about.
He then put a series of pro test patterns on the screen from his computer and pointed out that two red pixels were out of alignment by about 1/3 pixels width on the right side!
I refunded him then and there just to get him out of my life.

a little resurrection, because i felt like venting.
it is either trolling, or new owners who just picked up this phone because of the hype. but its as though these people are unaware of what theyre getting themselves into.

thats right. no mms. actually im quite positive people have known that since day one. with the original iphone.
im still not even sure why some one gets frustrated over not having this option.
doesnt mms max out at 300kb per entire message?
and to include a photo or a video, were talking shrinkage to what?
cause this matters to most consumers?
and yes, i can sit here and complain and complain and complain about how iphone 2.0+ hasn't been as i expected it to be, but i cant really pin point any electronical device in my lifetime that has worked out perfectly. at least apple is releasing updates quickly for a cell phone. other cell phone software took years for fixes (palm 4.0, dangerOS 3.0...), but i have never seen a company actually step up to the plate and start fixing the problems they have created like apple has done in the past couple of months.
come on folks. for $199 - $299, what did you expect? lets look back. i remember i paid more for my nokia 5100 series when it was first released. should i complain that i didnt have a front facing camera?
maybe i should look at my price tag and realize that i got a pretty nice $199 - $299 cell phone.
want a 5+MP camera with mms cellphone behemoth?
leave the forum and get one.
and while you throw down $500+ for a 5mp nokia or whatnot, throw your iphone in my direction.
i have a light leak and its been buggin me.
