I've been trying to get these posts flagged and removed but they come up a lot. Such a misleading ad and the fact that they charge for ignorant people to use beta software....

Maybe i shouldn't care but it does upset me.

If it upsets you, you seriously need to go outside and socialise. That's not normal : / lol

LOL... yeah probably. Just upsets me because most of my family (who arent very tech savvy, would fall for this)...

People who aren't tech savvy aren't really bothered about ios 7 anyway, not until they get asked to download it from Apple

I don't think the OP means upsetting as in they're gonna go cry about it. I think it's just frustrating that people are scamming naive people out of their money to install beta software which can be installed for free (whether it's right or not).

Agreed. This kind of post is rediculous. Sooo many issues in the world and this is what's got you fired up?

Not fired up... Maybe i should use a different word... It BOTHERS me then lol... It is posted on a ios7 forum so this would be the place to post it. its not like i posted it on a random "save the children" website...

maybe i should do this.
If youre against this, you should be against apple too.
did you know it costs apple very little for the components on the iphone, compared to what they charge you??
And did you know other manufacturers can source even better parts and give them to you for less?

But theres no magic in that.

Edit: Everyone knows the iPhone/iPad cost next to nothing to mark and the markup is high. Its the build quality that helps them sell too.

Thats crazy... had no idea...

My issue is not that he's charging period, its that hes charging for installing BETA software and saying it works fine 100%...

I've had plenty of non-tech savvy people ask me how they can get it.

No kidding, this is my experience too. I have had a large number of people ask about it, I have a developer account too which adds even more people asking me. I ended up helping a friend out who installed it and then got caught not able to activate, but otherwise I let people play with it, but I won't install it for them.

I don't even see the problem with it to be honest.

Like the OP explained in a later post, it's not that he's charging for his time, it's that he's promising a 100% stable environment.

If he's registering UDID's, it's also breaking his developer agreement and of questionable legality, but that's more so his problem.

Capitalism at it's finest. You're bothered because you can't capitalize on this. $20 a pop for 10 minutes of work sounds good to me.

Don't hate the player, hate the game!

Yes it's shady. Wrong? More of a moral issue really.

With that said, if it upsets/bothers you so much why don't you call the guy and tell him? Take action on something you believe in rather than just complain. It's a common problem these days, people have so many problems and issues with things and yet never go to the source to try to change anything.

The iPhone does not cost nothing to make, the machines create to create the unibody and chamfered edges cost money in themselves, especially deploying them in a wide scale range. The full pricing of one device should be around 250 dollars or maybe higher or lower, but it's not nothing. All manufacturers do this.
