So in Times Square? what stores are there to see? things to do?

5th avenue? (Apple i know!)

South street seaport?

stay away from times square, except for maybe a quick look at the lights at night it is a joke and a complete tourist trap. Check out a broadway show and visit the vilage, and a few of the many parks, riverside park is a must and check out 125th street in Harlem...

Times Square is nice to see, but it's only entertaining for half an hour or so, if that. 5th Ave. Is nice if you have loads of cash to spend.

I recommend the Empire State Building. Bring something to so, because it can be an hour long wait, but it's worth it to see a birds eye view of the city.

Ah, what I wouldn't give to go back there.

Top of the Rock has better views, in my opinion :)

on 5th avenue there is no hollister lol

im seeing the rockefuller, ground zero, central park, liberty statue, st peters, times square, seaport, 5th

Why would you want to go to hollister.

Yes its owned by AF but their quality sucks and so do their jeans. There quality control is so bad that when they have a stack of folded polos they are all supposed to be the same color but there are random ones that obviously had a diluted dye or a different dye or something along those lines because the color is completely different.

If you really like the Hollister/AF brand go to RUEHL in Greenwich village (owned by AF/Hollister, the premium brand).

im going up 30 rockefeller?

and i know im going to the island with the liberty

where to eat cheap?

Pizza is about as cheap as it'll get: link. I ate a one of the John's and it was pretty good. Otherwise, you can grab a dirty water dog from a vendor in Central Park.

You won't find too much cheap in New York otherwise.

Regis is always on about Gray's Papaya hot dogs.

I have to say, they have really great dogs. But if you're looking for some convenient places to eat, Grand Central Terminal's dining concourse has a lot of places to get food at, but it can be tricky to get a seat sometimes. Grand Central is always convenient for me, seeing as a lot of the subway lines stop at either Times Square or GCT (and you can take the shuttle between them), food is never more than a couple stops away. I can get you pretty much anywhere from the subway... Gray's Papaya is right outside the 72nd St stop on the 1, 2 or 3.
