Being a new year, I thought it would be a good time to impart a little wisdom on the young and old alike. So, now that you are as old as you are, are where you are, and know what you know, what do you wish someone had told you a year ago? Ten years ago? What would you go back and tell yourself?

I'm not talking about incidental knowledge, but more general tidbits.

I wish: that someone had told me that club soda really does remove almost any stain if used correctly. I got rose petal stains out of Egyptian cotton without damaging the threads just by giving the stained spots a little soaking.

What do you offer the masses?

" Women can be manipulative little SOB's". :p

The problem with this logic (and what may have been your mother's logic) is that it is fairly difficult for a woman to be a "SOB".

Something I wish my mother had told me would be to never show your true feelings to a boy. It's pointless and irresponsible. :D

i second the above :)

Outside of that though...

I'm not sure. I am still young, perhaps I will be able to look back to now when i'm abut 33. I think 23 may be a little too young to have to wish for things to be told yet...

However, the club soda thing would be helpful. I didn't know that! My mom didn't tell me that!

Learn from other peoples mistakes.

I tell my kids this. In other words, If you see someone do something stupid and get hurt, fired, killed, or whatever, why do you want to do it?
