I hope this is true, because it looks pretty sick this way...

I wish there was a way to have both evolving conditions for the day, and a 7 day forecast without having to go with the 4x4 widget. If they did offer a widget like this one, at least you could but it in a stack with the other...

Had that happen on my small weather widget once, looks very nice, hopefully a permeant feature later on down the track.

I think it does that in the evening past around 7 o’clock. They figure today’s forecast not as useful as tomorrow’s by then.

I only have the small widget and it always says “expect drizzle in the next hour.” Temperature and current conditions are right though.

I also saw that momentarily sometime earlier today. Then it went to the little chart when precipitation is coming soon and the rest of the day (after the rain) it went back to the hourly forecast.

I still wish they would include the hourly precipitation wheel like on the apple watch, better yet incorporate that into a weather stack.

I saw it like that once as well. I remember reading somewhere that it may have something to do with significant changes in weather (hence that "not as warm tomorrow" part). But I have only seen it display like that once and we have had quite a few significant changes in weather since then, that it hasn't looked like that for.

Does the Weather widget work for anyone on ios14? Is it just a proof of concept or is it just mine that doesn't work.
I either have a black square or a pretty Weather widget, the only problem, it is the same temp all the time.
When you select it and launch the weather app, the real temp is shown.

Had the exact same experience.

Common issue. Some fixes have been a restart of the phone or removing and then re-adding the widget.

A restart fixed my black screen widget but it has now been replaced by the static weather widget.
I'll see if Beta 4 will fix.

What do you mean by "static weather widget"? The new widgets are all static for the most part.

Meaning that it could be 20 degress below zero outside and my weather widget happily shows 90 degress, light blue all the time.
But it seems to have been fixed. I'm getting different temps and shades live on the screen now.

Ah, so you mean "static" as in not updating, not as in "not dynamic" (as were some of the old style widgets that allowed interactions. Once you get it to start updating (and not a black square), it will do so on a regular basis or when some event (a weather warning or impending precipitation) causes it to do so. Usually just takes a little time.

There is another version of the weather widget that shows future forecasts regardless of the time...
