You know kind of how they still keep the classic MBP and the current Retina MBP?

I hope they keep the classic series and upgrade it. I don't want external stuff all over. I want a legit fully upgradable work station. I don't care about the size. Maybe Apple can keep the classic series with the specs of the new Mac Pro? I mean ill want more than 1 HDD, more than 1 disc drive, upgradable ram, upgradable graphics card, etc.

no way in hell. I think they are trying to wean out pro systems toward souped up consumer systems.

I pray they would just update the classic model but doubt it.

nope. I guess if you need a Mac Pro in the next few months you are stuck with in channel purchases. No CTO.

Yes it is. Go to the 'store tab' and you'll see the current Pro is still available.
