Apologies, but I have removed the pic of isaac following peoples sensible comments to be careful posting photos of my baby, not knowing who may be viewing the photos.

Very cool.

Although according to all the Brits on the Macrumors forum nobody will use Facetime on the iPhone4 because they have had the same features on their phones for 6 or 7 years and NOBODY EVER uses it.

Personally I don't see FaceTime taking off as a replacement to most calls, but it is ideal for situations such as this wedding, or showing grandparents their grandchildren playing etc. I see it becoming big for these types of calls.

As for video phones existing already, I don't think any of them have implemented video calls in such a slick and user friendly way until the iPhone 4, or marketed it well.

i can see it taking off because apps like Skype can link it to the computer. and later this year the xbox with have chatting and maybe an app for that?! once everything is connected then i can see it going. and with the app store it is a good chance.

Oh my. What would you have done if the iPhone 4 did not exist? Oh wait.... Webcams. Yup...web cams work as well.

Before the iPhone 4 I know I used to carry a webcam around in my pocket, on the off chance there was a computer somewhere I wanted to do a video chat...

Did you even think before you posted this comment?

Delete yourself from the Earth please.

Better remove ALL the pictures! We get an idea even if you just tell us what happened.....w/o pics at all.

Nice thing, but i bet a lot more people would use it, if theyd bring out a client for mac/windows. Iphone 4 users are still rare compared to pc users

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_0_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/532.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0.5 Mobile/8A306 Safari/6531.22.7)

Real nice pictures and wonderful story. I always wondered if anyone would use FaceTime this integrated into their lives.

What kind of "configuring" did you have to do? I thought that the only thing necessary was to have FaceTime enabled in Settings. Please clarify.....

Awesome story man, like someone said you should submit it to apple maybe they use it as a commercial idea :)

Whatever you do, don't go to any Photography Forums ... they are loaded with 'private pics'! :D

Ah, it was just faffing with finding the WEP security keys for WiFi networks I we own. As soon as we were on the network worked.
