I watched the guy at Best Buy install a screen protector on a lady’s iPhone and he was really going to town pressing with the squeegee. The lady even asked if that’s gonna damage her phone. He said no, but I was leery about it myself. Can that cause any damage, or is that how it’s done? I usually do them myself at home, but have gift cards for BB and thought maybe I’ll have them do it but I really don’t want my phone jacked up.

ive installed zags invisible shield on my 11 pro and it was super easy. I've done it twice, cause i had to replace it. the plastic guide it comes with is suuuuper helpful.

Agree completely. Also, if you install after a hot shower, you likely won’t get any dust or particles under the screen protector.

I would totally pass on letting a Best Buy counter jockey even touch my phone let alone have them put a screen protector on it. You would be better off doing it yourself.

Thanks everyone for your input, I always have done them myself. My original question is with the amount of pressure the guy was using would that damage the phone or not. As I had stated I have credit through BB and I had actually though about having them do it until I saw how much force he was using to apply it.

Unlikely, but not worth the risk.

If it were an Apple store employee I wouldn't care - if they broke your phone while doing it they could take care of you. Best Buy likely wouldn't do squat, and almost certainly claim your phone was already broken.
