...now that Snow Leopard is out. However, I was wondering if Apple has fixed the mouse acceleration? I can't find any details regarding this. Already returned a MBP13 and prev-gen MBP because I couldn't stand the mouse accel.

I think the OP was referring to the slowness of the Mighty Mouse tracking. If I am correct, no, they did not. A great free, application to do this is: MouseZoom. Really works!
