There are less expensive options that may even do a better job at those functions than the Apple watch. Had Apple not come out with this device I was following the development of Pebble. I'm not a fan of the look of their models but they have many of the functions that I wanted. That Pebble Time is quite appealing and a fair amount cheaper than Apple's with many fitness tracking functions as well.

For me the Apple watch is perfect but I would not have paid this price if what I really wanted was a Fitbit equivalent.

As I have said, the material in the Fitbit's wristband is what irritated me. I bet most of the pure fitness tracking wristbands out there use similar material. Yeah those fitness trackers are cheaper, but their material just drives me crazy.

I would like to get a Fitbit with the Milanese Loop :(

My Fitbit didn't do the heart rate stuff, so either way I need to get something new.

I did hear that the Apple Watch is more accurate than most when it calculates calories burned. My Fitbit didn't do a very good job with that.

Plus, sometimes I do not feel my phone vibrate when it is in my pocket at work. So it would be nice to have my Watch do that too.

And it is more convenient (seems to be with what I have read) to start an exercise with Siri.
