Just putting a question out there for those who have had the Nike watch. I've had a couple different Apple Watches and like them. I prefer aluminum since I tend to bang my arm on walls all the time.

Anywho, to those that have bought the Nike watch, are you happy with your decision to buy it compared to the regular version and why?

I think the biggest thing with the Nike Apple Watch is it has all the capabilities of the Series 2 (Minus the sapphire display). The Nike watch face and Run Club application are not major selling points, but nice to have. And the Nike bands are really nice with perforated holes for fitness.

Thanks! In regards to the sapphire display, is this a big detractor in your opinion?

After owning the Stainless model, the sapphire display is an absolute must for me. I have zero scratches of any sort on the display and given the increased price point, I have zero regrets purchasing this model based on that alone.

Being you stated you are somewhat accident prone, it's something to consider with the added protection with the sapphire. Just my opinion.

Good call. Yeah the only thing that I really want from the Nike is the watch face. Lol. Not sure if that's worth scratching the screen though.

I mean if it were me, the Nike Watch face is nice, but that's not enough to justify for me to purchase that specific watch for that alone. Especially if you're already receiving all the Series 2 abilities.

Something else nice about the stainless model, is if you do scratch the 316 L stainless (It's a very soft metal), you can easily buff the scratches out with a Cape cod cloth.

As @Relentless Power stated, I think the sapphire display will be a huge benefit over the "Ion-X" glass, after looking at the display of the Sport I used to wear, this is such a huge improvement, seeing the scratches on that thing makes me cringe when I compare it to the 2 stainless models I own

As for the faces, while I do wish I had them as I think the Volt big number watch face would look hot on the Space Black I own, I don't know if I'd trade the sapphire display which will hold up over time and look impeccable for the next few years (unless you swim in a pool of diamonds)

If you're planning on getting a Nike band, buying the Nike Watch in the first place is the right choice.
I don't have one and don't care about the custom face and app, but I bought the band and is really great for summer.
So I think I'd go for the Nike Watch if I had to buy an AW series 2 today.
Actually I bought a series 1 model last year, so Nike wasn't an option.

Yup, happy with my nike Apple watch. If you're comparing the nike version to the apart version of the watch, the real difference is in the band. You get some extra watch faces & SIRI works with the Nike Run Club app if you buy the nike version, but those are kind of minor differences. The strap on the other hand is much more comfortable (IMHO) than the regular sport band, due to the holes in the band. If you don't mind the look of the nike band, I'd say go with that one over the Regular sport version. If you're looking at the Stainless steel version with the Sapphire band, that's a different story, but also much more expensive, but comparing the nike version & the sport version, the Nike seems to offers a couple of perks (including a more comfortable band) for the same amount of $.

Thanks! Just got the $70 deal from Best Buy. Can't beat the price!
