Hello,

I'm still running IOS 9.3.3 (jailbroken).
There are quite a lot of apps that require a higher IOS and I'm thinking about updating to the latest version.

Is it likely that 11.2.6 will get a jailbreak any time soon?
What is your opinion on me updating from 9.3.3?
Any other advice?

Kind regards,

Tobias

I am also still jailbroken on 9.3.3 and the temptation to upgrade is strong. But can I live without the tweaks I rely on? It feels like more of a gamble to let go of this jb than in the past because the OS is much harder to crack and the kids with the skills are already on Apple's payroll. I will probably wait until I am forced to replace this iPhone 6 due to unusability.. Jmo!

Also, I hope Apple realizes that I would have already gotten an iPhone X if it were possible to get an untethered jailbreak with it. I wonder how many others have put off a phone upgrade due to loss of jb...

Don't do it. Your phone will begin to work sluggishly. Alternatively, you can use a higher version ios phone and purchase the app you would like on your lower OS and then redownload it on your ios 9 and Apple will automatically download the last compatible working version for your OS. For example SpeedTest. Mine still works on the older version. The phone is snappy as day 1 because its on the Day 1's OS. :)
