Carrier Thinking about Verizon contract to T-Mobile switch

I'm currently using Straight Talk on my unlocked iPhone 5S. Seriously thinking about getting the iPhone 6 with a Verizon 2 year contract as Verizon iPhones are worth the most and then immediately porting out to T-Mobile for them to pay the ETF.

I've read online that you can trade in any phone to take advantage of ETF deal with T-Mobile so I could theoretically use the Verizon iPhone 6 with T-Mobile.

Any thoughts? Too much hassle to save $350?
