Thinking new non-retina MBP

I still like being able to replace/upgrade parts so I am thinking of staying with the regular MBP. What is everyones thoughts on the base model then ordering memory and SSD from Crucial? Major difference seems to be the video memory. Any major issues swaping out the hard drives? Been awhile since I worked on a MBP. Just use a mini at the house now.

I went with the base model 13mbp when I got it a few days ago. My needs wouldnt be able to tell the performance difference
