I, like many on here have been waiting anxiously for a Macbook Pro & iMac update but they haven't come. Hopefully they will soon.

I don't need a Mac if I'm honest, and that's why I've been able to wait since August 2007 for an update (for the MBP), but I really dislike my Windoze PC.

I'm just wondering whether it's worth buying a Macbook or a Mac Mini for the moment, just to get me out of the Windoze camp.

Any ideas?

macbook, IMHO, mini is fine too if you don't want to spend too much.

I'm just looking for something basic that I won't lose too much money on. I was considering a G4 PowerMac for now, but they are about £200 2nd hand 😱

G4 powermac? no, don't buy that. PPC is dead, you pay for symbolic rather than practical values.

If you don't want to spend too much, get a mini with 1G ram, should be fine.
