I am thinking about getting the iPhone 7s plus rather than the iPhone 8, tbh I don't mind the bezels and I think I will miss the home button, what do you guys think of the 7s plus, do you think it will still be a good phone?

We'll find out in 10 days, but yes, I think the 7S (or whatever they're going tonne called) is still going to be an amazing phone.

Absolutely. I have not ruled out from purchasing the iPhone '7s', even though I have my sights on the OLED model. But I still think the 7S will be wildly popular with the price point and S models typically are refined internally (And minor physical changes. )

.

64 GB not going to happen. Special iPhone 8 will be available in only higher storage tiers (128 and 256) just like last year's special jet black and Product Red iPhone's

You don't know that for fact about the 7S storage, aside from rumors. @ThatiPhoneKid said they were considering the 7S because of it being cheaper, which the OLED model may include the higher storage tiers for 128/256 GB and a much higher price point.

funny thing still remains.... When Samsung started using oled screens, loads of people here were like ''why oled? I dont see that as useful or something I really need''

Now Apple finally after all those years coming with an oled screen, all of the sudden these same people changed their minds and its hot.

Wonder why...

Aside from the uselessness of this question, less than two weeks before the event starts, I'd guess that it 'will still be a good phone'. Why not? It's the 7 Plus, but with possibly wireless charging and thus an entirely new glass back design. It will be faster, maybe better camera's, etcetera. Even the 7 Plus at a reduced price woud be an 'amazing phone'. It's very subjective.

A rumor even stated that the 7S will be called iPhone 8 instead, because the design is that different. Expect same pricing as the current 7 models, with higher-end OLED iPhone starting at 1000$.

I'm also not ruling out the 7S, and am leaning a little bit more towards it, now that I know the 8 is going to be gesture based, with no home button. That really turns me off, since I don't like swipe gestures on iOS.

What I would miss out on is the higher resolution, and Pro Motion. I'm getting the feeling that Pro Motion would come to the iPhone 8S though; next year's OLED device/devices.

I am not that excited for the OLED screen, but that's probably because I've used both new and old OLED android devices, and therefore have some experience with it. My preference for most content is with an LCD. I like OLED on TV's though.

I'm definitely going for a 7S. I'm a bit concerned about screen burn-in with OLED (seen it on a Samsung, it would send me berserk after a while), and I while I can easily afford an 8 there's part of me that can't bear to spend nearly a grand on a phone. A 7S would still be a great upgrade on my 6, though I have a feeling I'll be jealous of the 8's camera.

For me to end up with an 8 the 128GB model would have to be no more than say £829 (I know, not in our wildest dreams). £849 I may stretch to if I was in the best mood ever and also drunk. It's highly unlikely though.

Those people are just brainwashed hypocrites.

Personally I am also thinking of choosing a 7S+ over 8, from my current 6.

That's a little harsh. I would say that the people who are overly excited about the introduction of OLED on the iPhone provide an overly zealous description of how much of an upgrade it will be, and therefore others reflect that same reaction.

I think it will all come down to price. They will run the same iOS and will likely have very similar features. How much more do I want to pay for OLED and a smaller bezel. Not a lot...
