hi guys,

so i left the jailbreak world ever since my iphone 4s. I stopped jailbreaking after that; ran iphone 5, 5s, and now 6 plus without jailbreak. Reason i stopped was because the phone would start to get slow.

Now, i am thinking of jailbreaking my iphone 6 plus again.I want to know what are some good apps i can download after? I am looking to do things like, unlock apps (messages, email, whatsapp.. ) with touchid. also looking for apps that does some cool stuff.. can anyone list few apps here..

thanks.

Wait for now. The current ios 8 jailbreak has a LOT of bugs. Give it a week at least for them to fix the things it breaks and package everything together.

To get a demo of all the cool jailbreak apps/tweaks, search youtube for best jailbreak tweaks.

Eh, there's 2 bugs... one of them is fixable and the other one is really minor :p

I would wait a bit until the tool is completed with cydia installed and possibly translated to english. By then, im sure, more bugs will have been discovered and hopefully some already patched.

This also gives tweak devs some time to get their particulars in order for a more stable experience....which is why you wanted apple in the first place, right? It just works? Then why break it so quickly...?

Hardly any of the tweaks are updated for iOS yet. You might as well wait for it to be nicely packaged with Cydia.

I agree it's better to wait. Cydia isn't packaged with the jailbreak, mobilesubstrate isn't fully working yet, and a lot of tweaks need to be updated. Just make sure you're on 8.1 with a non-OTA update. I'd bet a more polished release will be out within the next week or so.

I agree. Wait awhile. I tried it on my 5S and it was buggy. Anyway, after consulting most of the guides to installing Cydia, following them carefully, the Cydia install gave nothing but errors. Then, I noticed Safari was totally messed up. I ended up restoring from scratch and a backup. I'm not trying that again! I'll only install a Pangu update that integrates Cydia into it.

thinking of jailbreaking...

The only "bug" I've even heard about since pangu and cydia have been updated revolves around restoring backups. There is a very special process you must use in order to restore a backup. I always start from a restore so I haven't run into any issues.

If you want to restore backup, you need to do this:

1) backup to iTunes
2) restore to 8.1
3) JB (do not open Cydia)
4) restore from backup
5) open cydia.

If you accidentally open cydia before restoring your backup, then before you power off or reboot, then you need to reinstall cydia substrate.

THIS^^

some peopler will tell you like they told me it does not matter if you use cydia for a bit before restoring you itunes backup, but it does you have to restore from backup before allowing cydia to do its initial setup when you click it the first time

Great thanks! i will be doing a fresh install, so not worried about restoring from backup. I will be jailbreaking shortly. can't wait.
