Had a Gecko clear protector on for a couple of weeks, took it off this morning and could not be happier without it on, cleaning the screen is so much easier naked!

My iPad is now free! It feels soooo much better I enjoy the screen mucho mucho more it's niiiiice as it should be.
I bought the damn thing, I own not the other way around lol
For those that are scared of scratches... I too a medical blade, sharp pointy as hell try to scratch the he'll of it... Nothing took a blunter item so i can create friction... Still nothing that screen is tough!
If any of that couldn't damage the screen I don't see what could...
A case yes a screen protector... No
Please bear in mind that the test iPad was not my own (I was a one point in time) I did not spare it i went as hard as I could!

For sure the clarity of naken glass is tops, but man those fingerprints. I had to microfiber that sucker every 5 minutes.

Fingerprints are ok. I mean it is a touchscreen device...

I have never placed a cover on my iphone. Many drops and years of it being unprotected in my pocket later, it still works and looks like new. Just needs a quick wipe across the front. The ipad is a bit different, but for me once I turn it on, the fingerprints go away and screen looks great. I did always wonder what happened to the claims of the oleophobic screens that are fingerprint resistant?

I bought a cheap back shell case that came with a screen protector on day 2. My marware eco-flip case from ebay should be arriving this week hopefully, I expect to take the screen protector off once I have the eco flip which covers the screen.

Damn... The new iPhone's retina display is making me dislike the anti-glare film on my iPad even more. I wish I could take is off and see what the display was like without totally trashing the film. I don't think I'll be able to put it back on once I remove it. It's a PS film if that matters and it was over $30 with shipping, so I hate to just trash it.

But I remember how much I hated the fingerprints on my iPad all the time. With the anti-glare film i only clean the screen once or twice a day I think I should try the crystal version but I had it on my 3GS and there were always air bubbles. I have my iPhone 4 with just a bumper and no screen protection. It's such an incredible screen to use naked and for some reason fingerprints haven't been bothering me. It makes me want try try the iPad without a screen protector again.

Has anyone else's views changed after getting the new iPhone?

Nope. I'm keeping the AG on my iPad. The mirror effect of the larger screen is magnitudes more disturbing than on the iPhone. I don't want to see myself every time I use an app, or view the surrounding countryside. All avoided with the AG. But I have removed AG from my iPhone. Now I have a clear protector and it preserves the beauty of that screen.
