Just like you, I was also holding out the iFrogz Summit Case for iPad 2. I have been hounding so many sites and asking when this case would come in. I just found and ordered it from the link in my signature!

I am trying post pictures of the case because I just received it this weekend (overnight shipping). It is everything and more than I expected it to be. The first reason I liked this case was because it looked like it provided a high level of protection for both the front and back of my iPad 2. I have the smart cover from Apple, but as most of us have commented, it does not protect the back of my device.

The iFrogz case has a unique look and the leather piece on the back side of the case seems to act as a great protector from scratches, bumps and even drops! The leather absorbs the shock when the iPad hits a firm surface!

Some iPad 2 cases claim that they provide optimal viewing angles, etc. This case has three different configurations that display the iPad 2 at different angles. The "middle" configuration is my favorite because I often catch up on my favorite movies with my iPad 2. You can place the case on your lap and easily watch a movie without getting a pain in your neck, etc.

If you have any questions about this case- I would be happy to answer them- seeing that I am one of the few that has received this case (spent a lot of money on shipping) and I know there are a lot of people out there waiting for this case! Thanks.

Any way you can provide us with pics of your ipad with the case?? Im close to pulling the trigger to get this cause I'm tired of the Switcheasy Canvas being on back order.

My ifrogz Summit is going to be delivered Monday according to UPS. I'll take pics for you!

Thanks! I just placed my order (black/black) before they run out

They have some additional pics up on their blog. It looks really cool. I like how you don't have to snap it out of the shell to get it to prop up. I don't like the covers that fold like a smart cover, they just don't work well on a lap, much rather have a flat surface with slots like the Summit.

Does it stay folded back or do you have to hold it that way?

To my understanding, it doesn't just stay that way and that's my problem. I like to change positions quite often, and the cover hanging around is an annoyance.

Yeah it does stay that way if you want to. I have this case and it's unbelievably thin. If I just want to look at something quickly on the ipad, I fold the cover back all the way behind and hold it there. If I'm going to be using the ipad for a longer period of time, I just fold it back, put the tab in the slot in the back and the cover is very securely held out of the way ..... it can't be any easier than that.

Look at the 2nd to the last pic. That slot is really inconspicuous and it not only holds the front cover in place for the 2 different viewing angles (as shown) but also holds it all the way back and out of the way so it's not dangling around.

2 different viewing angles? i thought there was only one. also does the cover lay flat on the back when it's stuck there cause the only way i can see one sticking it to the back is by the one viewing anlgle?

No, 2 different angles. That one pic shows it standing all the way up, but if you turn the ipad around, it's propped up just a bit for typing ..... it basically acts just like the smart cover does. And yes, it lays completely flat. This thing is that this cover is REALLY thin .... all parts of it. There's a huge thread here in the accessories forum that I suggest you take a look at.

The iFrogz Summit is available for $36.90 from Vebee right now, with normal shipping charges. Cancelled my order with iFrogz, and went with the reseller for a pretty decent savings.

I'm a little wary of ordering a case that seems to have no reviews yet and from a retailer I've never heard of until this forum. They have no score at http://www.resellerratings.com/store/Vebee either.

Can anyone here point to anything that would convince me to not wait before ordering?

Kinda sounds like you're already convinced to not order, and you're looking for something to get you to order.

The case is brand new, which explains the lack of reviews. As far as the reseller, they processed my order an hour after I placed it, and stated they would get me the tracking number as soon as it was available. That's more than I got on the Marware and Switch Easy cases I tried to buy, but you have to decide for yourself.
