Third Gen Stuck in Recovery Mode

My ATV went into recovery mode the other night.

I've tried the iTunes restore to see if it will fix it but no joy.

Can anyone recommend anything else I can do to troubleshoot/ fix? Is there any way of getting further diagnostics, could it be a recent update that's nuked it? Or is it a case of if it's broken it's broken with the Apple TV?
