Third macOS Tahoe 26.4 Beta Now Available for Developers

Just like Beta 2, this refused to actually install after downloading, throwing up the same error many others have been seeing. Tried updating via Terminal, still no go, but what did work is updating via Safe Boot Mode. Hopefully the next beta doesn’t require this as well, as after updating to Beta 2, my internet access was going haywire.

I had the same issues, but safe mode failed too. Did you just use the settings to update in safe mode?

Yep, basically did a full shutdown, held power until I saw boot options. Then selected my boot disk and held shift to “Boot to Safe Mode”. After that I entered the desktop and went through settings and software updates. It did its thing, restarted and I’m good to go.

Can't believe I'm going to install a beta of Tahoe, but I'm having so many system crashes on 26.2 that I have to.

I do not have any issue with Little Snitch both Content Filter and DNS Proxy enabled in Network settings > Filter and proxy, previously I had issues with DNS Proxy but now it works just fine.

I’m still stuck on beta 1, unable to install beta 2 and beta 3 updates. I suppose I’ll have to wait for the 26.4 final version and then install. I’ve tried all the suggested ways to update without success. Luckily beta 1 is still working. I’m completely unable to understand why there are so many problems with 26.4; Apple needs to get its act together.

I'm in the same boat; I've tried everything being discussed in these threads. 26.4 betas are pretty rough right now, but thankfully, at least Apple was able to release a slew of new products this week.🙄
 
Glad to see I’m not the only one who couldn’t install beta 2 and now can’t install beta 3. Tried safe mode it failed. Hopefully the link will be up soon.

Finally got it installed. Turned out that I needed to turn off one more filter!
