Third part remote no longer wakes up the ATV since update

I use a harmony hub that usually just powers up everything at once, but since the update it wont wake, i have to unplug the atv and reboot it. Once its awake the remote works ok (but yeah laggy, as someone else made a thread about)

anyone else having this issue? I tried to repair it, unpaired the ps4 controller in case that was creating a conflict. Kinda stumped.

I have a Harmony elite (hub) and it works just fine with my ATV4K.

I have that issue, but after everything else is on just hitting the menu button on the Harmony remote wakes the Apple TV.

yeah that and even the “help” assistant hasnt worked. its not the 4k version its the model prior

The new TV OS made it so only the "home" button will wake the ATV. You'll need to reprogram your remote to send the "home" button command during the power on sequence.

I noticed this with my Harmony as well, was thinking of adding "menu/home" button to my startup sequence to remedy the situation

Super annoying! But thanks for the solution, added "Home" to start up sequence and its fixed now.

My Harmony no longer wakes it as it should, but the menu button wakes it up. Not a big deal but a step backwards.
