When I tap on a text field and the keyboard slides up, most times it'll flicker before being usable.

This bug happens with both SwiftKey Keyboard and Gboard. iOS stock keyboard doesn't suffer from this bug.

My phone is an iPhone 7 Plus.

I've researched for solutions and identical cases, nothing found (just some iPhone 5 bugs and other apparent display issues).

Just found the cause of this bug: Assistive Touch.

Disabling it eliminates the bug. Reactivating brings back the bug of flickering third party keyboard.

I've tried some Assistive Touch different configurations (like 3D Touch shortcuts and number of shortcuts), but it looks like the simple activation of Assistive Touch bugs third party keyboards.

What key features are you using assistive touch for? Is it essential for your particular needs?

Thanks for the tips.

Not essential.

I'm using it mainly to prevent power button wear (3D Touch shortcut).

The other utility is to quickly activate multitasking menu (it's easier to just touch the Assistive Touch button than to 3D Touch the border of display or double click Home Button).
