I now have an early Intel Mac (A1207), which replaces my dead G5, that is currently running 10.6.8. The problem is that the white background/black text setting is seriously tiring on my eyes, but the invert option just turns everything 'negative', which is totally useless for websites and images. Whilst I was without a Mac, I had been using my Windows 7 laptop and really appreciated being able to have a BLACK screen background with WHITE or other text colour. Are there better colour control options in another version of OSX or third party software that will allow me to have the colours that best suit my viewing needs? Thanks, people.
