What are they? I know the new iMac doesn't come with HDMI, very dissapointing, and I can't have a workstation with a single display even if it is 27". I have a strong preference for Windows 8 over OS X, but with the screen and a self installed RAM upgrade I can see an iMac as the only Mac worth the buy.

So, could I use a DVI or HDMI external monitor made by HP that I currently have with one of the new iMacs?

Note i'm pretty sure HDMI only supports up to 1080p resolutions.

Buy like said above, you can get an adapter. Depending on your secondary screens resolution i would go for the mini display port to DVI or Dual Link DVI.
