Is the cable detachable from the power supply? I’m not completely familiar with the OEM set up, but I think I would want something C to C. This doesn’t look it and looks proprietary. I’d want to be able to use the charger for other things like iPhone X fast charge.

No the cable is not detachable, but it does support up to 90 Watts.

That’s my point. I would rather have a brick that can charge a few different devices. Such as the ability to use a USB C to lighting cable for your phone or iPad.

So I ended up buying the Insignia Charger found it at my local Best Buy for 40.00 open box, going to give it a try have 2 weeks to return it if I don't like it or it does not work. I will make a update post, letting you all know how it works.

    This one?:

This one is appealing to me because the cable is detatchable (included), it can be used for other purposes (like fast charging the X/8/8+) and it's $22 bucks.

So I tried it out and it works. When I looked under system report power it showed 90 watts.
