um...is it just me or is it significantly better? Maybe it's because FB updated thei app and the background refresh isn't as bad (although still present), maybe it's because I've moved the phone to Verizon from T-Mobile and the signal is much improved, but it seems like in the few days I've had the 9.2 beta, my battery life has improved drastically. Usually I'm in need of a recharge around ~6 pm daily. Now it's at like 40% still! Anyone else?

    Edit:
    iPhone 6S - 64GB - Verizon

I deleted the facebook app a while ago and my battery improved a little bit, but after installing the 9.2, it got extremely awesome. Just look at the screenshot.

Edit: Btw, that includes a 45 minute workout using a gps tracking app (5k runner)

I've heard that T-Mobile consumes less power than Verizon at similar signal strengths but that is probably wrong.

Anyway, with 9.2 my battery is still the same. 4-7 hours use with my iPhone 6.

Put me on the list. Great battery life after the update.

Btw, if anyone is posting the screenshots of battery usage %, click that extra button to display on-screen and background, since % is worthless without that.

I got rid some of my apps that had a lot of background battery usage, but yeh the battery seems a LOT better right now than in the last year or so back on iOS8.

Sure it's a 6S and newer battery not used/recharged for a year, but is substantially better. Im not recharging twice a day anymore and it shows in the usage getting about 8-10 hours which is really good.

Today I'm still at 75% with 2hrs 12 min of usage and 6hrs 43 min standby.

That's useless too because it isn't data per charge cycle.

trouble is, it'll only show the apps using the least energy in cases where a lot of apps have been used and it's scrolled down. it may be a curiosity to you but a single screenshot often won't capture everything needed for a full understanding

Yeah, not sure why Apple moved that information down.

So just use the free "Stitch It" app to stitch your screenshots together. It's what I've been using for a while. In fact, I wish everyone would use it when sharing battery screenshots. Unfortunately, I wasn't paying attention before and didn't catch the details outside of % per app.

The best battery life I've seen out of any iOS 9 beta or GM...hands down. Currently at around 4 hours usage with 40% battery. With every single iOS 9 beta or GM, I always maxed out the day with just about 5 hours usage on a full charge. It's looking like I'm on course to get 6-8hours of actual usage. Unbelievable.

image.png Definitely agree this is the most battery life I've ever gotten out of an iPhone. Admittedly I've been stuck at home (yesterday) and work (today) so almost all of this is on wifi. I'd say moderate use. Mainly Facebook, plex and iPLayer and phone calls. But still nice to know

Those that are not listing what device you are using, please list it. It's hard to tell an iPhone 6 from a 6+ or a 6s from a 6s+ from a screenshot. But it's nice to see battery life is improving yet again. Any known issues yet?

Just updated to 9.2 b1 with an iPhone 6. Seems to be snappier. Battery life is to be determined. My iPad Mini is currently being updated.

It's hard to tell if battery life has improved with iOS 9.2 public beta 1. I haven't had much of a battery issue on my iPhone 6 Plus since I've had it, however, AND I'm a fairly heavy data user. I have always had Facebook background refresh disabled though... so maybe that's the trick?

Mine is iPhone 6 Plus. I had a record battery life when using iOS 8.2, 12 hours heavy use, keep screen on in 30-50% brightness all the time, plus over 1 hour game play, and constant Safari using.
iOS 9.2 beta 1? Hmm, I don't see much improvements. I can only say that the performance is relatively stable.

Had it on my iPhone 6s for a few days, battery life was absolute trash, downgraded back to 9.1. I'm waiting on beta 2.

Yeah, I had the same experience on my 5s. I'm thinking it's because of my Watch. When I unpaired it before restoring to 9.1, for that brief few minutes, the battery life seemed *slightly* better.

I also have the watch, maybe it has something to do with that.
