They had these cases in pc world here in the UK. It's a strange one - the surface is covered in small (hollow I think) rubber cubes. I guess that adds some protection and makes it somehow 'soft' to hold. Not sure if that's good or bad.

I didn't like it, but that's purely my taste rather than a judgement on the case 🙂

I wonder if apple has a patent on the smart cover and all the magnets. People expecting the instant on feature from a 3rd party may be disappointed.

That is a nice cover. I have the speck cover for my iPhone 4 and love it. I could easily live without the instant on feature. I want the back of my $800 iPad 2 protected from scratches.

Yeah I agree. This cover needs magnets. But I signed up to be notified. I really like it. But I need something to protect the back as well.
