I don't really judge what phone I'm getting from how it handles a drop. These smartphones now are all glass, and are all about thinness, lightness and (usually) small bezels. They aren't ever going to withstand drops well.

Either don't drop it, or get a case, or get apple care +. Sometimes I do all three!

Glass phones-you drop, they break. I'm not sure why this needs to be verified for every new phone.

    Ouch...
I'm glad I bought all those spigen cases when they were practically giving them away on Amazon.
Have 2 in my bag for the trip to the apple store in the morning.

    I'm shocked

I thought iPhones and concrete were best friends

Surprised to see glass shattering upon impact with concrete

    #MysteriesOfLife

Who would have ever thought something like this would happen?

Luckily that one didn't crack. The media would surely begin the Shattergate frenzy.

If I drop a glass jar on concrete, should I videotape it to see what would happen?

Make sure it's a $650-1000 glass jar first!
