People thought I was an idiot for standing line for an iPhone in 2007. Now the whole world owns one (or something that is near identical). Enjoy it and don't worry about anyone else.

I clicked on the link and saw a 30 second ad without a skip button. Didn't even bother watching the video.

Edit: Okay, just watched some of the video. I've used Apple Pay a few times and used it at Starbucks a couple times and not a single stranger has commented on my watch..

The fact he has to include what he does for a living when people ask about the watch he's wearing, proves to me he's making much too big a deal out of it and an inflated ego. I used to like his TechnoBuffalo tech reviews, but less and less so lately. He's become apologetic for liking Apple products and seems to continually placate his Android fans now, even though Apple reviews are what built his YouTube channel. Probably going to unsubscribe after seeing this.

I thought that was weird, too. Who the hell cares what he does for a living?

A simple "Yes, it's an Apple Watch. I'm enjoying it so far." Would suffice for 99% of these interactions.

Jesus, what a goddamn beta.

tl;dr for the video: "I get nervous when people talk to me, I don't like being nervous."

Pretty simple to deal with in my experience...

Is that an Apple Watch?

Yep.

Do you like it?

Yep.

Can I hold it? (this was a new one for me this weekend)

Nope.

There's nothing to be embarrassed about. It's just like when the iPhone first came out. Everyone wonders what it is about, what can it do. Today, just about everyone has one. I remember when I just got my first gen iPhone, after I went to an amusement park, everyone was curious what it could do. I was able to take pictures. This was when everyone else had to remember to bring their camera if they wanted pictures. This was way before the idea of "selfies" and apps that you can share pictures with other people easily. There was no real good quality phone camera out there other than the iPhone. Phone camera during this time was worse than point-and-shoot. Now, it is much better than most P-n-S cameras out there. This was back during the 2007 launch.
