Those are good specs, only thing I'd really miss is the Retina display. When you're used to one, it's hard to go back.

You need at least the 14-core Xeon. Time for an upgrade to the iMac Pro with four NVMe Samsung 960 PROs in a RAID 0.
 
Yeah, you'll really blaze through your emails with those specs. 😉

Seriously though, that sounds like a pretty good machine even by 2017 standards. The lack of Retina Display is the only thing that would bother me, but hook it up to a nice external display and you wouldn't even notice.
 
I waited for 4 years to jump into a Retina display for my MacBook.

Retina iPhones and iPads made the wait that much harder.
 
Nice machine! I had the retina version of that machine with a 750GB SSD but I sold it and got the same machine but a 2.3! I love the matte/non-glare screen!
