New 42 S10 is $299 and 46 mm is $329 new at Walmart and Costco. Competitive for used S10 in great condition probably around 150-190 depending on the size.

Timely thread.. I suppose I should try and sell mine as well. Black S10 (Cellular) and Black Ultra with the "good" band.

Why? Just not for me any more. I have several nice watches (Rolex, Tudor, Panerai, Omega even Hamilton) and really now prefer wearing them. The whole idea of "triaging notifications and not looking at phone" still became a distraction. I'm at the "over it" phase I have an Oura (two actually) and don't miss the watch. With the holiday, I'll find the time to put them for sale here or on eBay...

While it offers some convenience, the reality for many users is that it adds more noise than clarity. Notifications constantly interrupt, the screen demands attention, and instead of simplifying life, it often fragments it.

Beyond the initial excitement, the Apple Watch proves to be less essential than expected. Its features largely duplicate what a smartphone already does, and the hassle of charging it daily becomes a chore. That’s why, after a few months, many watches quietly disappear into drawers—forgotten and unused.

I think that’s a very small number of people. I can’t even count the number of people I see wearing Apple Watches. I think it’s much more about product stagnation with very few new features that are in demand.

Yes. Everybody, including me, wants better battery life. It’s just a tall order without new technology for batteries being used.

+1 for device saturation in the market, and no new selling points in a generation or 2

+1 on battery life. I use the Ultra 1 still, and expect to use it at least to the Ultra 3 or 4 is released. I look with envy over to the 'other' smartwatches with 5-14 days of battery time. One long hike in the mountains, like 25km+(15 miles+) and 500m(1640ft) elevation change, with active tracking is draining 100% in 9-11 hours. That sucks when I'm out walking for 12 hours breaks included.

Many people (myself included) gets turned off buying 2nd hand item due to number of scammers and scam sale artists out there, as well as lack of warranty and the risk of buying a used apple product from an unknown source, .

I hard the best time of sell used tech is before Christmas so perhaps hold onto your watch until then.

Good luck.

Yeah it's rough selling an aluminium one. I sold my aluminium S8 for I think CAD$350 or $400, from what I recall, about a year after launch. It did still have AppleCare which I transferred to the buyer. I'd look for any sort of differentiation like that which can be added. Also make sure your photos are good etc.

Also I only ever sell them with third party bands and I keep the Apple bands.
My personal experience selling stuff on fb or offer up. People are tightening their wallets. Expensive items used to sell fast in 2020 to 2024ish. But now people aren’t buying as much. It took me 4 months to sell my steam deck for 250. My drone dji mini 2 with fly more never sold I gave it to family after being on sale for 6 months.

People have less money to go around, I see a lot of carriers offering the watches for "free", the watches themselves aren't as compelling as they were in the past, etc, etc plus it might just have to do with the time of year you are doing it. You might actually have better luck later in the year.
