Man if your 18 or younger, you totally know what that is about...... I remember I used to be SO into Pokemon. I didn't really collect the cards much though, I played the game on my gameboy COLOR!!! oh yes... those were the days....

He is pretty spaztic though.

Ugh.

I was briefly a comic-book store owner when the whole Pokemon craze was at its worst. I saw crazy kids like this ALL the time. They came in more for these cards than comics, which was depressing.

Anyway, I saw enough lying (to moms), cheating (in card games), stealing (of friends cards), and agressive behavior revolving around Pokemon to declare it evil. It truly promoted the worst attributes in these kids.

I'm so glad I walked away from that nonsense. Is there anything like this that has kids just as worked up today?

Collectable card games are stupid anyway.

Except for that one which puts different groups of characters against each other (Star Wars vs. Marvel vs. Dragon Ball vs. Dead or Alive etc.). That one has a pretty cool concept.

Here's an interesting article on the use of the word 'spazz'.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/magazine/4902432.stm

you know what's interesting is that words and the meaning of words evolve. For instance, the word 'gay', has changed from enjoying pleasures, to happy and lively, to homosexual, to annoying, boring, or something negative. I believe that the word is not offensive, and is only offensive when being used in an offensive manner.

Growing up, I heard my parents call me a spazz whenever i did something stupid, or acted in what seemed like an uncontrolled behavior. So, in my mind, calling somebody a spazz wasn't 'offensive', it was ripping on them, as a joke. Just like if one were to call another 'stupid' if they thought 1+1=4

So, I apologize if I offended anyone by the use of the word spazz... but it was not done maliciously.

They are pretty good. I'm 20 and looking forward to the new DS Pokemon. They're just very well made RPG's, have about 20 or so hours play, nothing offensive or anything in them. Just a jolly good RPG. I think I was your age when I tried to sell my old B&W Gameboy to buy a GBC and Pokemon Silver :D

Pokemon must die

Why? It's a very good seller and has universal appeal. Should we keep GTA alive?

Video guy is a bit sad. But hey, at least he isn't acting like most youths these days. I'd rather know him than an ASBO kid trying to kill me.

Is it going to help him get a girlfriend? No.

Nothing to get excited about... freak

And I'm from Long Beach too! (Although I live in Irvine now for college)

Wow! Did you ever go to El Dorado Park during the summer and listen to the band play? I remember going there and all the "cool kids" had big binders FILLED with Pokemon cards.

(wow, we even have similar avatars..... cReEpY)
