First it was constantly saying I didn't have enough memory. Then when that went away, the entire system is slow, lags, with massive delays making it unusable at times.

Has Apple released anything that works in the last couple years?
 has released a nice lifestyle for their CEOs these last couple years!

someone posted wondering why the new iPhone colors are bad, the answer is they , don't consider us as a concern.

the system data inflation per day is frustrating and hard to troubleshoot compared to older OS and windows.
these other bugs are designed were  thinks and hopes we will buy more iClUd space plans.

this is not your older brother's  anymore.....

I have an M1 iMac, and Sequoia works like a charm for me on the 15.4 beta, so my answer is that it works beautifully.

did you fresh install Sequoia or install over ummm, Sonoma Ventura or Monterey?

thank you
Installed over Sonoma. I know about the advantages of a fresh install, but frankly I think it’s too damn much trouble in most cases, even though it leaves a lot of old useless garbage behind. Every once in a while I go through and get rid of what I can. Only once have I been seriously inconvenienced by this, and that time I did do a fresh install. YMMV

I have great sympathies with SR 7's predicament.

Once upon a time, we bought Macs because they "just worked" and we could get on with our lives, doing something a lot more interesting than fiddling with a computer. Nerds who wanted to spend their time playing with computers bought PCs, far cheaper, and they enjoyed themselves fiddling with them.

Apple need to simplify and reduce the size of their OS by a factor of 10, preferably a lot more: back to basics. It's all got out of control. Yes, I know Mac OS usually works OK after an "upgrade", but occasionally it does not, and it can be a complete nightmare. When it's happened to me in the past, I just phone Apple Support and after 2-4 hours on the phone, with an (impressive) tech agent controlling/operating my desktop at amazing speed, most of the issues get sorted ... they are never simple.

So, phone Apple Support and allow a few hours to get the issues sorted.
You are 100% correct. I made the switch in 2009 to a Mac full-time because Windows had become like owning an old Italian car: you just always had to jack with it to keep it going. My first iMac 27" lasted nine years, and I went about six of those years without having to do a nuke and pave. But my 2019 iMac 5K required one with each new OS. And Sequoia has required constant attention, including buying a new iMac, and my system still isn't where it should be. Sometimes I think I'm back fooling with Windows. <shudder>

as if your singular experience spoke for everyone... (it doesn't) 🙄

Personally, Ventura was the worst for me. macOS 14 & 15 have not been as bad for me, but there are of course a lot of improvements Apple could make. My only gripe is that the Music app seems to have been getting progressively worse over the years.

On Silicon Macs clean installs are easy:

Shut down.
Hold the power button down until you get two icons, the current computer setup and options.
Pick options.
Go to Disk Utility and format the hard drive.
Then go to Reinstall the OS.
And go from there.

No more having to create a boot USB with the OS, etc.

I was aiming deleting everything, iCloud safari settings as well
they just don't sync well with each other this year.

this way I know what they have info and data wise as well.

I don’t think it’s the worst… but what machine are you using OP? An Intel machine by now, with 8GB RAM must be struggling. An M1 like mine with only 8GB RAM is also starting to struggle with Apple Intelligence enabled. Turning it off reduces the lag-fest.

Same quality issues as usual with the latest iOS/ macOS but no worse and in my case, nothing deal-breaking

If you can figure a way to go into iCloud and see everything there, please let me know. For example, I know the Books application uploads books to iCloud, but where does one see this on iCloud? If I go to iCloud on the web, I can click on the three dots in the iCloud section, then hit Choose Folder, at that point I see a lot of folders, but I don't see any books. And I also see several folders for apps I no longer use. How do I delete those? It would be nice to be able to view the data in iCloud like we see folders and drives in Finder.

I don't think it's the worst either, but anyone using an Intel Mac is having problems, as you state--at least I did which is why I traded my 2019 iMac 5K for an iMac M4 and just live with the smaller screen.

I think the Intel Mac users would have been better off had Apple not allowed Sequoia be installed and just cut off OS updating at Sonoma.

I've opened a ticket on Feedback Assistant. The only thing I can say is that all the programs seem "fatigued": browsers, the same Feedback Assistant or Mail. They don't freeze, but they also do not instantly respond to inputs. After a short time, this goes away but the user experience is not optimal.
I have a 16'' MBP with Intel Chip, and I never had any problems until the latest update 15.3.2

yesterday ny bluetooth connection went all "sequoia",
aka : messed up
as I could not play sound on my incredible sounding Klipsch™ bluetooth speaker
suddenly as that connection worked since Monterey and Sequoia,
to remedy this I need to connected th emac mini to the speaker via a cable,
how 1990s is that, ?!

therefore I might revert to Monetary, umm MONTEREY
as I wish I could use a Monterey 2023 version since that seemed to work flawlessly!
but  does not play that game anymore

you could revert the whole OS... or you could troubleshoot the issue. 🤔

have you tried to 'forget this device' and then re-pairing the speaker and mac? a reboot could help too.
