Now i'm not a PC hater but I will admit I do prefer Macs due to the fact that...well they just work right?

Here's a link to a news article on the BBC news page, the bit which puts a smile on my face is the last bit of the following statement :-

"What we've tried to do with Windows 7 - whether it's traditional format or in a touch format - is create a Mac look and feel in terms of graphics. We've significantly improved the graphical user interface, but it's built on that very stable core Vista technology, which is far more stable than the current Mac platform, for instance."

I can't take credit for this find as much as I would like too, I actually found it on another forum......

I read that on gizmodo last week, but the stupidest thing is commenting "built on Stable Vista Core Technology" that's like the worse Oxymoron ever!

I'm far from a PC hater, I still use them at work and have them at home, but doesn't stop me from loving my new i7:apple:

IF you take a look at earlier Windows like Vista and XP, you see that every time MS has copied more and more from OS X and especially the Dock. I cannot say anything about the stability, but in my experience, OS X has been rock solid while Windows has always had errors etc.

That person got chewed out by Balmer.

Apparently the guy had nothing to do with the UI dev.

So M$ is not really admitting that.

As far as stability... I honestly don't see any less errors on my Mac... They just look prettier. :D It's not the series of ominus errors that Windows has that we're all used to. When I first got my MBP I had repeated Kernal Panics, "Grey Screen Of Death" for the Mac. It sucked.

The whole comparison between the two OS is crazy. Do I prefer OSX to Windows 7, yes. I'd hardly say one is better than the other. Things tend to "just work" when I plug them into my Mac... But on the flip side I have drivers for 3 Gigs of peripherals I'll never use. This is great for someone who has no clue what drivers are and doesn't want to be bothered, but is it "better"? It depends on the person.

All seriousness of my rant aside, I did get a good laugh out of reading this quote when I first saw it. :D

I'm so jealous! Those i7's are awesome! I may end up building an i7 PC!!! Not with Windows though. :D Ubuntu 9.10. I tend to stick to a Windows Free environment. I get enough Windows at work.

I'm currently running an iMac 24, 2.33ghz and 4gig of RAM, so it's going to be a big jump for me. I consider myself very lucky to be in a position to get one of these new beasts :)
