Now that I am able to monitor the ram on my iPad 3 with the new jailbreak, I can see it is delicious.

After a fresh respring I get just over 800mb, with an average app running it stays between 6-700, still more than the total RAM on the iPad 2!

Thank you apple, for doing something right.

A cydia tweak I would recommend: Daemon Tool from the insanelyi repo. It gets rid of all safe daemons which Increases ram, battery life, and device performance to an extent.

Interesting on my 'new' iPad 64GB 4G it might start off at 700 ~ 800 but it does not take long at all to drop to 180 MB!

I'm using SBSettings to monitor it.

Are you opening like 30 apps? I can have 4-5 backgrounding and still be at 200 or so.
