I have just gone onto Google.co.uk on my iPhone and notice it has all changed for me since i was on it yday!

This is what i get...

Also i notice they have a WebClip now. (prob had it for ages but only just noticed)

This is the iPhone formatted page. You can press classic to get the standard page if you want. Webclip has always been there 🙂 more or less...

they introduced this in america ageeeees ago, and a while ago in the UK, but it was then removed, and replaced with the old mobile version

its since now been put back

I've never seen that layout before… but I just tried it and I'm seeing the same thing here. It looks like Phil is correct.
