...but damn the battery life is OOTW (out of this world)!

Went from crappy Samsung LOLaxy to the 11 Pro and then decided to go for the big dog the 11 Pro Max and I couldn’t be happier. Even though this is a heavy phone the screen size and the battery are sweet!

😃😃

The glass and stainless steel play a big part in the weight but it’s still not bad. The battery life totally outweighs it all. No pun intended lol. I have the 11 Pro and even this has much improved battery life over the X. Congrats on your purchase!

How long have you had it? I've heard folks say you adapt to the weight pretty quickly.

I had the iPhone 6+ and that phone was approaching what I thought was a nice solid weight. Apparently the 11 Pro weighs slightly more so that'd be nice. My 6s+ is a little too light I think.

Are you holding the phone one-handed? I find that most who complain about weight are one-handing a ~$1000 phone (with all the risk that entails).

Personally I like the weight of the 11 Pro. I had to put a screen protector on my granddad’s iPhone 6S recently and it felt way too light, didn’t like it at all!

You'll get used to the weight of the 11 Pro. I noticed the difference before I sent my XS back, but now that I've had my 11 Pro for several weeks now, I'm used to the weight of the device.

Some of ya'll must be using some heavy duty cases or something, because it feels about the same as my 7 Plus.

Say “1/2 a pound”. It sounds heaVier. :p

I had it in my pocket when I was being weighed at the doctors office and when I pulled my Pro Max out of my pants, it went down 0.55 (with case) on the scale. We had a good laugh.

You definitely get used to the weight the more you hold it. Eventually it becomes normal.

I found the weight difference to be negligible to my XS Max. It does feel very solid and premium. I'm very happy with the additional battery life, so a bit of extra weight is welcome if that's what it takes.

2 weeks only but I’m no french fry by any means. 6’0 and 230 last I checked but my case which is quite bulky does add more weight to it so it’s not fair to say it’s that heavy. The battery life alone is worth it though. Also it feels more “premium” than the Note10+ when holding it naked not sure why but it does.

8 ounces is heavy? OK.

Would be nice if some ladies would share their opinion on the weight and all.

I have 11 pro Max and love it. Earlier posts are right that you do get used to it and one handed it does feel heavier, but just a quick look at that lovely big screen and I know I don’t care. Battery life is insane!

“It’s really hard to design products by focus groups. A lot of times, people don’t know what they want until you show it to them.” - Steve Jobs

People want a lighter phone like the iPhone SE.... Apple has been conducting focus groups in a echo chamber in California and that is not a real representation of America. Stainless Steel & Glass are stupid and add unnecessary weight. It’s good for chiropractors because these heavier and heavier devices are crippling a lot of users and they are racking up a lot of customers.

Titanium and carbon fiber are the way to go, and I have walked 7,000 miles across America armed with only an iPhone SE as my computer, and it does 98% of what your “bricks” can do at 50% of the weight and a much smaller floorprint.

I recently bought a cheap SE to use as an iPod when I go running. I have to admit that I like it lol I like how it’s not made of glass and not fragile. I don’t even have a case on it like I do for my Pro Max. I can grip the entire thing with one hand and easily use it with one hand.

I’m going to think really hard next year if they release a 5.4 inch Pro.

Yeah, roll on AlIon batteries (theoretically 3x the charge potential so the same amount of juice from 1/3 the battery mass!) until then I'm afraid that's the price to pay for decent battery life.

But see I don’t care about having a huge battery. I backpack a hundred miles between outlets and use a Anker 10,000MAH battery to power my devices. The iPhone SE is more “power efficient” compared to the 2019 iPhones and I have done studies to prove that fact put on the trail with other hikers.

The 5.4 inch “rumored” iPhone will still not exceed the iPhone SE in power to weight ratio, along with the fact that the iPhone SE can transmit up to 999 kbps lossless audio to your ears via the 3.5mm jack...whereas Bluetooth & the doongle can only emit 255kbps maximum latency.

The iPhone SE will have 3.91 times the sound spectrum capability of the “rumored” 5.4” device.

Plus Apple will put those copper coils on the rear of the device for wireless charging...which is nothing but deadweight for people like us that are into biking, climbing, and other forms of outdoor recreation where we have a physical battery bank to charge the device.

I just did a test at the Apple store with the AirPods Pro, and the marketing department at Apple along with the editors at MacRumors have fooled you all once again into thinking these devices provide excellant audio. You people simply say that to justify the loss of funds you can incurred on this device. The 3.5mm Apple headphones that come with the iPhone SE exceed the audio latency of the AirPods Pro by 3.91 times.

But I guess if Apple and MacRumors state, “The sky is red.” Then after enough times repeating the same lie, people will engage in herd mentality...because let’s be honest Tim Cook treats us like sheep. Steve Jobs was a visionary and thought differently...Cook just wants to follow the herd over a cliff

That's a bit non sequitur to what I said, but sure, you do you. Of course everyone's going to have different wants, needs and priorities in device design, that's a given. Its a reason why so much choice in the current market is a good thing.

I went from an SE to an 11. Is it heavy? Yes, But I got used to it. You have to change the way you think about it and use it: It’s not a phone anymore, think of it as a small tablet. Requires 2 hands and more careful handling. It’s not for casual use where you just pull it out of your pocket to look something up while strolling down the street. I also use AirPods to take calls instead of holding it up to my ear.

I still have the SE for running, hiking, activities etc.

But there is no choice
Falhófnir. That is the problem here. Tim Cook killed Steve Jobs’ legacy “width” of the iPhone from the original up to the SE.... All the options today are: Big Mac, Whopper or a Baconator... there is no single hamburger with cheese option...and they have specifically removed that in order to faten up the customers and upsell Bluetooth headphones by removing something that nobody was complaining about...

Apple’s explaination for the removal of the 3.5mm jack was to “waterproof” the device...THAT IS A BOLD FACED LIE...you look at with LG & Samsung have done with devices that meet or even exceed the post 2017 iPhones in waterproof capability and they retain the 3.5mm jack.

Wake up and smell the coffee everybody

You know what? You’re totally right. When I’m listening to music or podcasts the first thing I think about is the *latency* of the audio I’m listening to. 🙄

The fact that I’m biking without that stupid wire constraining me is precisely why I’ve never once plugged in a set of wired headphones since I got the AirPods (3?) years ago.

Good for you!!! You know what...you could still have your low audio quality AirPod Pros with an iPhone that has a 3.5mm jack for high quality audio when needed...but you seem to think having less options is better...I guess you’re thinking differently

When I was recovering from a stress injury I found it heavy. I’m fine with it now. I think it’s a very nice size. It fits okay into most of my front jeans pockets and the display is still large enough to enjoy.

I’m waiting for Bose to release their new earbuds in early 2020 so I can get rid of these AirPods.

Explain how the Bose would be any better when Bluetooth has a cap at 255kpbs latency? The fact that you people think “this” is progress is apart of the reason why Trump got elected...because real Americans are fed up with corporate America dictating to us how to live and comport ourself
I’m waiting for Bose to release their new earbuds in early 2020 so I can get rid of these AirPods.

Bose will not offer any improvements in sound clarity and latency over the AirPods... there is a physical limitation of 255kbps over the air...and no matter what any marketing department comes up with to compel you to open you wallet...your ears will suffer
