But see I don’t care about having a huge battery. I backpack a hundred miles between outlets and use a Anker 10,000MAH battery to power my devices. The iPhone SE is more “power efficient” compared to the 2019 iPhones and I have done studies to prove that fact put on the trail with other hikers.
The 5.4 inch “rumored” iPhone will still not exceed the iPhone SE in power to weight ratio, along with the fact that the iPhone SE can transmit up to 999 kbps lossless audio to your ears via the 3.5mm jack...whereas Bluetooth & the doongle can only emit 255kbps maximum latency.
But there is no choice
Falhófnir. That is the problem here. Tim Cook killed Steve Jobs’ legacy “width” of the iPhone from the original up to the SE.... All the options today are: Big Mac, Whopper or a Baconator... there is no single hamburger with cheese option...and they have specifically removed that in order to faten up the customers and upsell Bluetooth headphones by removing something that nobody was complaining about...
Apple’s explaination for the removal of the 3.5mm jack was to “waterproof” the device...THAT IS A BOLD FACED LIE...you look at with LG & Samsung have done with devices that meet or even exceed the post 2017 iPhones in waterproof capability and they retain the 3.5mm jack.
Wake up and smell the coffee everybody
It is true removing the 3.5mm jack for waterproofing as Apple suggested was lame. Not sure why they said that, as if telling us the truth would tip their hand to competitions development to what they were really working on.
Google had a different reason why they went from 3.5mm to USB-C audio.
Google explains why it killed 3.5mm headphone jack on Pixel 2, Pixel 2 XL
Google made a complete U-turn on retaining the 3.5mm headphone jack on its new smartphones. Just last year, the company mocked Apple for removing the feature from the iPhone 7.

Now Samsung removed the 3.5mm jack.

Samsung Is Officially Killing the 3.5mm Jack — Starting With the Note 10
Samsung has long been a hold out in the Android world, keeping the 3.5mm headphone jack long after Apple ditched it. That era is coming to an end.

So there you have it. The trend continues.
Personally I hate the SE and will not spend $1000 on a 5.4“ Pro next year or anytime soon. The fact some of us like bigger phones doesn’t make us sheep as others suggested either.
One can always use the 3.5mm to Lighting port connector with your earbuds though they still can’t meet that same wired 3.5mm audio quality.
It is what it is.
