I’m waiting for the X preordering, but the waiting is killing me. My two year old 6S+ still works fine besides getting a little warm when use continuously for over a few minutes. I just need that new phone touch and smell. every day I’ve contemplating of getting an mint conditioned 7+ or a new 8+, and each time my better judgement prevails, but I don’t know how long I can last, lol. I don’t care if the X takes a few months to deliver after the preorder, just let me know for sure danmit so I can move on one way or the other. I know I can’t be the only one experiencing this lol.

Patience grasshopper. Then again I bought a watch in the meantime for probably the same reason.

I have the exact same feeling brother! Upgrading from a 6s+ and waiting for the silver X. Current phone is fine and I could honestly use it for another year if forced but it is starting to show signs of battery wear. Was out grabbing coffee about an hour ago and there was an AT&T store right around the corner. I was really tempted to go inside right when they opened and checkout the 8+. I decided to just leave instead after finishing my coffee since knowing me I would have walked out with a new phone if they had them instock lol.

I totally agree, when Apple first showed off the Apple Watch I had to have it. Waiting months and months was terrible. And worse is that they didn’t give a firm date, just “this spring”. At least with the x they gave a firm date.

I'm rocking an SE right now until I can pre order. Thought about continuing to use my s8 Plus until launch but I would rather just sell it now and use the SE until I can get the X in my hands.
Sell that S8+ ASAP. samsung phones don’t hold values well at all. Brand new Note 8 are selling for $600 on Craigslist now.

It's actually good to see some people still have their inner child alive and well. For me it's so much fun anticipating something like this. I like to read the reviews and watch the videos. Of course I have other hobbies and interests, but a part of me will be forever 9 and waiting for Santa. 😀

That was a horrible launch. I remember when the Apple Watch launched in April 2015, some didn't receive their Apple Watch until the end of August. I hope that iPhone X is nothing like that launch, but I do believe it will be February for some to receive their devices. My Goal is just to get the pre-order in as quickly as possible.

When it comes February then 7 months later new iPhones with smaller and larger size with X design will be announced, which make iPhone X will be obsolete less than 1 year. Same as the ones who get in November. Thus, it will be like iPad 3 and iPad 4 short release event. Since there will be no special anniversary, no special edition will be announced. All who are waiting for iPhone X have to be prepared for this situation. Technology obsolescence is getting shorter and shorter. Keeping up to date with technology can be a challenge for some.

stopped by my local T-Mobile store around 6pm today, no customers in the store and they have 5 iPhone 8+ in stock. I played around with the display model, The unit was locked into a stand which prevents me turn the phone over looking at the back. So I whipped out my 6S+ which I just updated to iOS 11, the two are 99% identical from naked eyes. I’m sure 8+ is faster but who freaking cares, it looks exactly like my 3 year old phone.
So I’m pretty much set on waiting for the X preordering, but I will keep my eyes on the iPhone 7+ used market, I don’t want to keep holding onto my 6S+ for a few months if that’s how long it takes X to be delivered. So 8+ is definitely out of my choices now.

I'm dying waiting for the X (I have a 6s+).....and preparing myself for a longer wait well past November 3. I hope I have it in November. Wait, I hope I have it in 2017!
I got to see the IPhone 8's today. Oh my God. The glass backs are gorgeous! 😱😀 I want to smack the jaded members of the press who say otherwise. I thought I'd be unmoved because I own an S7, an S7 Edge and an S8's+. I've also beheld the beauty of the blue Note 7. That phone will live forever in the memory of my husband and myself. It was like being married to a supermodel who had a substance abuse problem and cheated on you--nothing but heartache but damn, for a brief shining moment you got to abide with a god/dess. 😛
So no, I was not expecting to be impressed by another glass backed phone. I'd also had an IPhone 4, who was a supermodel who had his/her head on straight. So whatever, big deal. Who cares. Or so I thought. 😵
😱Sweet unicorns, those 8's and 8 Pluses were gorgeous and felt nice in the hand. No, they're not the exotic blues and purples of some of the more exotic HTC and Samsung glass phones that have caught my eye and turned my head this year and last year. But Apple has a magic for me all right. 😱
The only reason I did not come home with a silver iPhone 8 Plus was because they don't have any in stock. 🙁
I really do love the LCD display. I had also looked at a Note 8 display. Yes the Note 8 OLED was impressive and yes, they did a nicer job on the edges than they did on my too edgy S8+. But I was nevertheless so happy looking at the crisp LCD iPhone 8 display. I liked it with True Tone. I liked it without. No surprise because I also love my iPhone 7 Plus display. Really the iPhone 8 Plus takes everything I love about my IPhone 7 Plus and adds a little extra to it. I'd be pleased to upgrade to it.
My husband is doing all he can to persuade me to wait and pre order the iPhone X. It's not what I think I really want, but I will try anyway. He wants someone to exchange animoji with. He's really counting on receiving talking chickens from me. Sorry, but that's the way it is with us. 😳
I do think the X looks beautifully proportioned on the back. I'm still not entirely sold on the display but I'll find out at least when we get to see them in the stores. Waiting is now going to be extra excruciating since I fell in love with the silver 8 Plus. Sigh.
