Are the iPad and MacBook Pros really geared towards business professionals? Because I see kids using them.

As I've said before, "Pro" is just a marketing term for more expensive hardware.

More expensive hardware meaning higher performance processors, better graphics card, more storage, etc. that are capable of doing the type of work that requires these features that their non pro lineup is not capable of. Obviously anyone can buy and use them.

Right, which is why I don't get the "Apple won't make an iPhone for professionals" argument, and why I say that Pro is just a marketing term. Regardless of what they call it, if they're putting out a more powerful and move expensive model, anyone who wants the best features and can afford it will buy it. Whether they call it the iPhone Pro, iPhone Edition, iPhone 8, or iPhone cucumber is completely superficial.

I'd be first in line for an iPhone Cucumber:D

why not the iwatchpro could be ip68 tested and rugged design?, and the ipod pro can be for music professionals, with higher quality output no?
iPod will be killed very soon. And the point is - like some people already pointed out - that Pro stands for a technological more capable product regardless how you want to use it even if you aren't a "pro". Apple Watch Edition is only different on the outside, inside is still the same tech. Therefore Apple Watch Edition makes sense but not for a completely different iPhone (technology).

I like iPhone and iPhone Pro much better than iPhone and iPhone Edition. It would also simplify naming schemes even further across lines. We would have MacBook and MacBook Pro (with air on the way out) and then we would have iPad and iPad Pro (with the air line left in the past) and then iPhone and iPhone Pro. I think it's obvious that 'Pro' has generally been used as a "Better version" by Apple, I wouldn't be surprised to see it make it's way to the iPhone. You'll have your everyday user products: (MacBook, iPhone, iPad) and then your "better version" products with extra features: MacBook Pro, iPhone Pro, iPad Pro.

For what it's worth though I have always hated the 'edition' name for the Apple Watch, but I do think it's better suited to a jewelry type device over a phone because it seems more vanity related than anything.
Exactly my words! :)

Does anyone really care about the name?? More important is that the next iPhone is truly a tech marvel with all the bells and whistles

iPhone 7S
iPhone 7S Plus
iPhone AE.... Anniversary Edition

Then iPhone 8 onward will all use small bezel OLED screen's.
